Call to Order: Russell
called the meeting to order at 12:03 PM in a meeting room
of the City of Lawton, 1405 SW 11th, Lawton
Roll Call: Russell,
Middleton, Beck, Housman, Sapol, Sutterfield, Anderson
Old Business: CAP –
Russell said he had planned to forward out the assignments
by now but he had been delayed. His deadline is the end of
the month.
Minutes:
Middleton distributed copies of the December 2009
minutes. Motion: Beck moved to accept the minutes as written,
Sutterfield seconded, all approved.
New Business:
The 2010 budget will be presented at the February
meeting by our Treasurer, according to Russell.
Leadership Conference, Jan. 22nd:
Russell confirmed that everyone would be attending
the event. Sutterfield,
Sapol and Anderson were welcome to carpool to Oklahoma
City.
Membership: Anderson
distributed a report showing the numbers paid and unpaid
for 2010.
Website: Middleton prepared a report reflecting for
December 2009, 3607 hits, 1079 visits, top pages visited
were membership, calendar of events and Local HR jobs.
Middleton advised that there were no local HR jobs
listed and the calendar for 2010 had not been posted.
Housman knew that Stephens (webmaster) had been off
work two weeks over the holidays and was having problems
accessing the website to make changes.
Housman also knew she had an HR position that
needed to be posted.
Legislative report:
none available
Workforce Readiness Report: Sutterfield distributed
applications to the Red River Career Expo scheduled for
February 25th at Cameron University’s Fitness
Center.
Programs Report: Sapol announced that the January
program was Beck on recording keeping for both Oklahoma
and Federal. Stephens had sent out a survey but no one
knew the answers to the questions about what training our
membership desired in 2010.
HRCI: no
report. Russell
knew that no class has been scheduled. Beck advised of a request from the Cameron University Student
Chapter for Cameron to offer a class.
Beck did not know if that had been set up for the
spring semester.
Discussion/Communication:
Middleton distributed two flyers on programs at
GPTC. The
spring schedule did reflect the known topics of the
Chapter meetings. He
pointed out the April meeting will have a three hour
program which will offer 2.5 CEU’s from HRCI.
Adjournment: Motion:
Beck moved to adjourn, Housman seconded, all approved.
Meeting adjourned at 12:35 PM.
